নোয়াখালীর দ্বীপ উপজেলা হাতিয়ায় এই প্রথম জাতীয় নাগরিক পার্টির (এনসিপি) অফিস উদ্বোধন করলেন দলটির সিনিয়র যুগ্ম মুখ্য সমন্বয়ক আব্দুল হান্নান মাসউদ। রোববার রাতে হরণী ও চানন্দী ইউনিয়নের দুইটি কার্যালয় উদ্বোধন করেন তিনি।
এ সময় আব্দুল হান্নান মাসউদ বলেন, বিভিন্ন সমস্যা সমাধান এই অফিস থেকে হবে ইনশাআল্লাহ। গরিব-দুঃখী মানুষ একটা সেবার ঠিকানা পেল। তারা আইনি সহযোগিতা ও সব সামাজিক সহযোগিতা পাবে ইনশাআল্লাহ। মানুষ যেন আশাহত হয়ে ফিরে না যায়। আশাহত হয়ে ফিরে গেলে তারা আর এই মুখী হবে না, ক্ষমতাবানদের মুখী হবে।
হান্নান মাসউদ আরও বলেন, জাতীয় নাগরিক পার্টির অফিস গতানুগতিক অফিসগুলোর মতো হবে না। এখানে মুরুব্বিরা বসবে, চা খাবে, সমাজ নিয়ে আলোচনা করবে। টকশো দেখবে, সংবাদ দেখবে। এর বাইরে আর কিছু হবে না। এখানে ক্যারাম বোর্ড কিংবা মুভি দেখা চলবে না। এটা হবে সভ্য মানুষের জায়গা। এখানে প্রত্যেক মানুষ এলে ভালো লাগবে।
বড় রাজনৈতিক শক্তির উদ্ভব ঘটতে যাচ্ছে উল্লেখ করে হান্নান মাসউদ বলেন, প্রতিষ্ঠার দিকে তাকালে দেখা যায় আওয়ামী লীগের প্রতিষ্ঠার ২৪ বছর পর তারা সরকার গঠনের সুযোগ পেয়েছে। প্রথম দিকে ১০/১৫ জন মানুষ নিয়ে মিটিং করার সুযোগ পায়নি তারা, মানুষ সাড়া দেয়নি। বিএনপির প্রতিষ্ঠার দিকে তাকান, নিজেরা সরকারে থাকা সত্ত্বেও ১১ বছর লেগেছে বিএনপিকে পুনরায় ক্ষমতায় আসতে। কিন্তু জাতীয় নাগরিক পার্টি প্রতিষ্ঠার এক বছরের মধ্যে ৩০০ আসনের শ্রমিক, মজুর প্রত্যেকের কানে কানে পৌঁছে গেছে। প্রত্যেকে জানে বাংলাদেশে আরেকটি শক্তি আছে যেটার নাম এনসিপি। এটা আমাদের শক্তি।
তিনি আরও বলেন, আপনারা আমাদের হিসাব করেন ৫০ বছরের পুরানো দল বিএনপির সঙ্গে, ৭০-৮০ বছরের পুরানো দল জামায়াতের সঙ্গে ও ৭০ বছরের পুরানো দল আওয়ামী লীগের সঙ্গে। আরে ভাই আমরা মাত্র জন্ম নেওয়া চার বছরের একটা শিশু মাত্র। এখনই বিএনপি ভয় পাচ্ছে, জামায়াত ভয় পাচ্ছে, আওয়ামী লীগ ভয় পাচ্ছে তাহলে বুঝে নিতে হবে এনসিপি কত বড় শক্তি হতে যাচ্ছে।
এসময় জাতীয় নাগরিক পার্টির হাতিয়া উপজেলার সমন্বয় কমিটি প্রধান সমন্বয়কারী হেডমাস্টার শামছল তিব্রিজ, যুগ্ম সমন্বয়কারী জাকির হোসেন, শ্রমিক উংয়ের নোয়াখালী জেলার সংগঠক ডা. আবুল হাশেম, বাগছাসের কেন্দ্রীয় যুগ্ন আহ্বায়ক হাফিজুর রহমান, হাতিয়া উপজেলার যুবশক্তির প্রতিনিধি ইউসুফ রেজা, নুরে আলম রিপন সহ বিভিন্ন শ্রেণি-পেশার মানুষ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
